What Our Customers Are Saying
Protect Your Home
from Mice and Rats
Mice, rats and the parasites that come with them can carry a number of diseases, such as Hantavirus, Listeria, Rat Bite Fever, and Salmonellosis. Some of these diseases can be potentially deadly to humans. Additionally, droppings, urine trails, dander, and hair from rodents can contribute to unhealthy and dangerous allergies. Even rat saliva can make people sick.
On top of the serious health concerns, rodents can also cause a lot of damage to your home or place of business. Rats will gnaw, chew, and burrow through wood, sheet rock, vapor barriers, insulation, and many other components of a structure.
They can gnaw entry holes anywhere from ground level to your roof to gain access to crawlspaces, basements, and attics. Once they gain access to the structure, they can breed rapidly and quickly multiply the problems they cause for you and your family.
Rodent control & exclusion requires sealing off every entry point around a home or business. A mouse can squeeze through an opening as small as 1/4″ wide. Rats and mice have teeth that have evolved specifically for continuous gnawing.
They can gnaw through plastic, insulation, and soft wood. That’s why it is crucial that you get a thorough rodent control exclusion inspection by a rodent exclusion specialist.
Keep Squirrels and Raccoons
Out of Your Home
While we specialize in mice and rat exclusion and control, we can also help you protect your home from squirrels and raccoons. Squirrels typically have the ability to jump farther than mice and rats and raccoons are generally much stronger. We have a lot of experience with these animals and we know how to keep them from entering your home.
Do You Need a Free Estimate
or a Full Inspection?
If you have a defined rodent issue such as a rodent cleanup or specific rodent repairs that you’d like us to handle, we will be happy to provide you with a free estimate to do the work. If you want to protect your home from rats and mice with rodent exclusion, we recommend a full inspection to determine what needs to be done to keep rodents out of your home.
For a typical house, the inspection is $150. If you want a rodent inspection for a home that’s larger than 1,800 square feet, an apartment building, or commercial structure, please call us for a price.
Bay Area Rodent Solutions owner Stanley Bapu conducts our rodent inspections himself. He is a licensed general contractor with 12 years of experience specializing in rodent control & exclusion.
He takes great care to inspect the entire home from top to bottom to identify all current and potential entry points for rats, mice, and other rodents.
The inspection includes: the exterior perimeter, any accessible decks and structures attached to the home, crawl spaces, basements, garages, roofs, attics and when necessary, the interior of the home.
He identifies and takes photos of all the rodent damage and entry points that he finds. He then provides a detailed report of his findings along with an estimate for any exclusion repairs, rodent removal, and sanitation that is required.
Rodent Exclusion Repairs
The next step is to make the necessary repairs to exclude rats, mice, and other rodents from entering your home or business. Our trained Exclusion Technicians make the necessary repairs following the detailed rodent report and diagram provided by the Rodent Inspector.
They carefully seal off all current and potential rodent entry points using rodent control and rodent-proof materials such as galvanized steel screen, metal flashing, and concrete to keep rats and mice from re-entering your home.
Rodent Cleanup & Sanitation Services
Our trained Sanitation Technicians remove any rodent debris and rodent contaminated materials following the Rodent Proofing Inspector’s detailed sanitation report. The technicians will remove rodent carcasses, feces, urine, nesting sites, damaged insulation, plastic vapor barriers, and any other damage or mess left by the rodents. After sanitizing and deodorizing the impacted areas, our technicians will replace the removed materials with new, up to code materials.
Rodent Extermination Referrals
To get rid of the rodents in your home after our exclusion work is complete, we’ll be happy to refer you to a quality pest control company. We recommend trapping rather than poison because the poison can lead to odor issues when the rodents die within inaccessible areas such as the walls of your home.
